	«Pet man», domestic pet without voice or vote. Discreet, silent and mentally absent. He lives with Angeline and represents no threat to his «mistress» until, unchained by the persistent and subversive eroticisation provided him by habitual immersion in the prohibited channels of the Celestial Web, he begins to become conscious of the attraction he feels toward her. What Nono likes is to listen. To listen to everything: the steps of insects, the leaves of the trees, the skin and hair of Angeline. Armed with his microphone, his headphones and listening, Nono has arrived at a privileged level of perception, situating himself in a level of reality above other mortals. It is only in this way that he can mock the perfect circle of control of Notre Dame. It is only in this way that he will succeed in communicating with Angeline's soul.
Anne-Céline Auché ANGELINE W. R. S.
	Outstanding Marine Biologist and irreproachable citizen, in spite of which seh finds herself in conflict: her seemingly perfect fit in totalitarian society is becoming threatened by ever more rebellious thoughts. Angeline keeps quite and seh would never be so imprudent as to reveal her thoughts. But, she finds herself increasingly hounded by her own mind, which has already embarked on a lonely and inexorable path towards liberty. Her mistaken admission into the Sisterhood of Metacontrol and her increasing closeness to Nono will bring her previously unshakable —or almost unshakeable— principles into question. However, it will be her physical and social fall from grace that will situate her at the narrow border between life and death and that will cause her to finally take the reins of her own life and in an unexpected turn, jump into the void.
Manuel Solàs and Raúl Mena HEAD INSURGENT AND APPRENTICE INSURGENT
	They practice their craft filming and emitting subversive videos over the prohibited channels of the Celestial Web. In this clandestine manner they aspire to capture like minds. The Head Insurgent, clown by profession, is a hardened Spanish veteran formed in the anti-globalization fight of the beginning of the century (Seattle, Nice, Genova...). He has lost all faith in the revolution, but he doesn't give up. His primordial objective is to preserve as much as possible —be it only in the form of sound archives, the reason he contacts Nono— the last traces of culture and nature that exist from before the Sisterhood of Metacontrol came to power. The Apprentice is his young disciple. He will renounce his master —like Peter to Jesus Christ— when he becomes aware of the terrible end the system has at its disposal for those reckless enough, like them, to engage in any type of romantic militancy. The thing is, like the veteran always says «failure is inevitable».

Marta Timón METACONTROL INSPECTOR
	An inflexible and determined woman, she represents the most dogmatic and extremist faction of the dogmatic and extremist Sisterhood of Metacontrol. She has come to Pais to take part in an extraordinary convention and to obtain support for her proposals. She is controlled by an obsession: to accelerate the political process. Nothing can stop her relentless determination and finally she gets what she has so longed for. She arranges a solemn act in Les Champs de Mart and after a vehement speech —a diabolic inversion of the famous Martin Luther King speech, «I had a dream»— she opnes the doors to a New Era,
Anna Diogène «NUMBER THREE»
	This mysterious leader holds the highest visible post the matriarchal hierarchy. No one knows who is above her. Perhaps there is no flesh and blood person above her, only the dark and impenetrable machinery of Notre Dame. Surely even she herself does not know the answer. She lives in a Parisian mansion that is jealously guarded by her assassins. As has always occurred in dictatorial regimes, the height of Number Three's post in the hierarchy places her above the law. For example, only at her house can one hear music. But this heterodoxy remains hidden within the walls of her residence, inaccessible to the rest of society. This apparent laxity of thought, however, does not undermine in the least Numer Three's position as a cruel, calculating and pitiless leader. When she concludes that Nono is not useful, she orders his death without batting an eye.
Neus Bernaus ADVISOR TO «NUMBER THREE»
	The young social climbing advosir has arrived this far of her merit. She doesn't awaken the sympathy of her direct superior though, who sees in her a dangerous competitor and possible future replacement. She is a perfect example of the first generation of youth to come out of the bionic womb of Notre Dame. Manufactured to serve the establishment blindly she is astute, seductive and twisted, and she will use her best weapons to inspect Nono's mind.
Antonio Vladimir «METHOD ACTOR»
	He is the infiltrating traitorthat no subversive organization can be without. He stars in all the interactive videos produced by the Resistance for the prohibited channels. Videos that Metacontrol considers seditious pornography and which they pursue with fervor. He is also the direct line of communication to Number Three. His relationship with her is ambiguous, strange and mysterious. Surely his traitorous behavior is not solely based on loyalty to his government. The cheekiness with which he goes to Numer Three's residence, the cynicism he shows in her presence... they are more than suspicious. Behind the closed doors of the leadership there is perhaps suspicion or maybe intuition of an indescribable carnal or sentimental affair, we will never know.
