There are filmings as exciting as the movies that they generate. To make totally independent movies is always an adventure, but if in top of that what is shooted is something of the ambition and dimensions of PROXIMA, an underground blockbuster directed by Carlos Atanes, the risks and the anecdotes multiply.
A similar experience was deserving to be registered for the posterity, that was the motive of this documentary. To see it is equivalent to know first hand the tribulations of a team pawned in producing a science fiction movie too many thousands miles far from Hollywood, in distance and means. An endeavor that is almost science fiction too.
"Made in PROXIMA" follows the shooting chronological itinerary. It begins in Huelva, in the spectacular natural scenario of Riotinto's mines, with collapses, red acid lakes and electromagnetic anomalies (specifically in Corta Atalaya, the biggest opencast exploitation in Europe) and finishes in the lands of Lleida's dryness, where there happen improbable but real events, as the actorshooting with shotgun.
You can see this documentary online just here, before seeing PROXIMA or after seeing PROXIMA. Both options are advisable.
